Apologies for delays

Lori apologizes for getting behind in processing memberships and answering dealer inquiries. In addition to her peculiar work schedule, the junker she has been driving for about a year finally gave out and was subsequently scrapped,  leaving her to scramble for a replacement. Davy, our oldest Sammy boy, got a catastrophic illness and ultimately died, after racking up thousands in vet bills. We are still trying to clean up debris and do repairs from the big ice storm in December (and couldn't do much about until the snow melted).

Gordon is having eye surgery on Thursday, so may not get to looking at e-mails that day.

Programming Updates

Updated MW*C 34 program grid is now available.

MW*C 34 Phase 2 programming sign-up is now available. Deadline for sign-up is April 25, 2014.

Does anyone have a spare copy of "The Virginian," season 3, episode30: 'We've Lost a Train?' I just bought the complete series of "Laredo" but would also like the first episode where the characters appeared.

In Memoriam

Lynne Wexler, who was on many panels every year at MediaWest*Con, and who edited several award-winning 'zines, has passed away. (from Toni Lichtenstein Bogolub)

Geri Kittrell passed away on Wednesday morning. Geri was a long-time Star Wars fan who had attended the con since the 1980s, and could often be seen in her Star Wars costumes doing role-play. Her passing was unexpected, and she will be greatly missed.  (From Ken Keisel)

Geri passed away at age 61 of cancer the morning of 4/2/2014 in Sacramento. She was involved for many years in SCA. A memorial will follow in May and all will be contacted. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to St. Jude's Children' Research Hospital.

Looking for Roommate(s)

I have a room in the host hotel and looking for a roommate or 2 (to help with expenses).  Non-smoking female preferred.  I will be arriving on Thursday and leaving on Monday.  If interested contact me at:  asilcox07@earthlink.net

Barb Gompf underwent major surgery Thursday, March 6th. As Barb isn't on any computer system at present, cards and letters would be more than welcome. She'll be spending at least the first week after at her brother and sister-in-law's home (c/o Mrs. Leanne Gompf, 105 E High St, Mount Gilead, OH 43338) and then she'll probably return to her apartment (407 S. Delaware St. A-5, Thistlewood Apartments, Mt. Gilead, OH 43338).

MW*C 34 Panel Sign-up

MW*C 34 panel sign-up for phase 1 is now available.

We regret to say that 2014 will be our last MediaWest*Con, although we will continue doing 'zines you can get at http://Requiem.ravenshadow.net and Mestiza Woman art is available on Etsy.com/shop/mestizawoman. We will not be bringing stock to the convention, but you can place a preorder anytime now until April 30, 2014 to pick up at the con. We plan to be in the dealer's room, and have Mestiza Woman art in the show. We will take orders at the con, but you'll pay shipping. We want to thank everyone who's made our MediaWest*Con adventures such great fun all these years. Again, 2014 is our LAST MW*C. Go to:  http://requiem.ravenshadow.net to place your preorder.
